In 1984 Mr. Kouffman founded the Kouffman & Klieger, Esqs. law firm in Wall Street, New York. A true general practice, the firm handled a wide range of matters, beginning with transactional commercial real estate, criminal defense and trial advocacy. The firm created offering plans and represented a range of clients from various tiers of the real estate corporate community from both the buyer and the seller side. The firm stewarded conversions of commercial properties into coops and condominiums while working with the New York State Attorney General on these prospectuses.
